 Far Right Steel, polystyrene, each 60 x 60 x 70cm, 2015 (installation)[/caption]
Inspired by Renato Bertelli’s ‘continuous profile’ portrait of Mussolini, grossly oversized busts of Marine le Pen and Geert Wilders are are at the core of industrial scale spinning tops with an aim to consider the rise of the extreme right across Europe. Viewers are invited to play with these grotesque toys, thus turning the spinning profiles into contemporary political portraits and implicating the viewer. (detail)[/caption]
