Revolver

Ian Wolter Revolver 2 (2) Ian Wolter - Revolver 2

Paraffin wax/steel/painted plinth, 1.6m x 0.34m x 0.34m, 2014

A continuous profile mould inspired by Renato Bertelli’s ‘Head of Mussolini’ was used to produce a wax positive suggestive of a head carved from a rough block of alabaster or marble.

Revolver was first shown as part of ‘Mezzanine’: a group show at Cambridge School of Art in 2014
